Draymond Green to help with KD, Russ locker room awkwardness in the West
By John Buhler
There is bound to be a few awkward moments in the Western Conference’s locker room in the NBA All-Star Game. Draymond Green is here to fix that.
To say that there will be awkwardness in the Western Conference locker room during 2017 NBA All-Star Game would be a gross understatement. Two of the best players for the West, Golden State Warriors small forward Kevin Durant and Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook, aren’t exactly best buddies these days.
It doesn’t matter that the former Thunder teammates aren’t on speaking terms after Durant departed Oklahoma City in 2016 NBA free agency. Golden State power forward Draymond Green is here to break the ice and then some in the Western Conference locker room. He’s not going to let pettiness ruin his All-Star Weekend.
Green and Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry were being interviewed at intermission of the 2017 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. Both former Team USA teammates are the respective coaches in this celebrity exhibition.
Green will have to be the guy that confronts the elephant in the room in the Western Conference locker room because that is the kind of guy Green is. This is the same guy who routinely kicks NBA players in the groin, got into a bar fight in East Lansing and had harsh criticism of New York Knicks owner James Dolan.

When it comes to confrontation, Green is the big game hunter of the NBA. There is no level of awkwardness that Green cannot handle. He was the guy that courted Durant on the court while he was still under contract with the Thunder. Trust Green to bring Durant and Westbrook together once more. Let’s just hope that Green isn’t Snapchatting the whole thing.
