Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook gets grilled by a young reporter during NBA All-Star Weekend in New Orleans and it is hilarious.

With the type of ruthless competitor he is on the basketball court, one would think twice about asking Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook a series of tough questions at a press conference.

Well, on Friday of All-Star Weekend in New Orleans, young, high-pitched reporter was grilling the star NBA point guard. Westbrook found the exchange of questions amusing and this video capture it all.

The kid was ruthless, implying that Westbrook’s Thunder weren’t going to make the Western Conference Playoffs because Kevin Durant left the team and they don’t have enough shooters.

Westbrook would respond with, “Oh, we’re going to make the playoffs!” Oklahoma City would be the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference Playoffs if the season ended today. The Thunder 32-25 at the All-Star break and 6.5 games up on the Northwest Division rival Denver Nuggets (25-31) for the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference.

When asked about the lack of shooters, Westbrook would be most inclusive by saying, “You want to come play with us?”. The reporter would respond with an ecstatic “Sure!”. However, that didn’t stop the young reporter to quit while he was ahead.

He cited, “you’re the only one doing any of the work” and that he “should start” in the 2017 NBA All-Star Game. Westbrook appreciated the gesture, knowing that he might be on the cusp of his first NBA MVP award. He, Houston Rockets shooting guard James Harden, Cleveland Cavaliers small forward LeBron James, and Westbrook’s former Thunder teammate Durant are the four players competing for NBA MVP this season.

Overall, this was a hilarious series of questions that Westbrook answered honestly and joyfully. Basketball is supposed to be fun, right? Not when Westbrook is out there to destroy everybody on the hardwood every night he takes the floor.
