NBA All-Star Game: Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook connect for alley-oop (Video)
During the 2017 NBA All Star Game, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook connected for the alley-oop everyone probably wanted to see.
It’s no secret that Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook haven’t been on the best terms since the summer of 2016 departure to the Golden State Warriors. They even had a war of words during the Warriors vs. Thunder game to back things up.
Probably the top story of the 2017 NBA All Star Game festivities was Durant and Westbrook being on the same team, as they’re both in the Western Conference. Every angle has been taken on this for the past 72 hours, with everyone wondering if they’d talk or try to work out their differences.
Well, this connection they had during the game will get people talking. Durant hit Westbrook with an easy alley-oop during the first quarter, reminiscent of their days in Oklahoma City.
A simple play that will be brought up and analyzed in post-game discussions. However. when you’re on the same team, shouldn’t you be working together, even with issues off the court? It’s also a weekend that’s supposed to be fun, not one to speculate and wonder if Durant and Westbrook are going to be friends again.
