Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry wanted no part of Milwaukee Bucks small forward Giannis Antetokounmpo’s transition jam, so he went full log.

Sometimes, a first-time NBA All-Star doesn’t get that the game is strictly an exhibition. That seems to be the case for Milwaukee Bucks small forward Giannis Antetokounmpo. In a game that features no defense, Antetokounmpo is really bringing it on that end of the floor.

Antetokounmpo came up right behind Houston Rockets shooting guard James Harden to pick his pocket. That set up a four-on-one for the Eastern Conference. The one guy having to try to defend this onslaught of talent in transition was Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry.

He wanted nothing to do with Antetokounmpo coming at him full-steam in transition. Curry decided to imitate a log and hit the ground near the free throw line to avoid getting humiliated.

It wasn’t the right time for Curry to hit the Mannequin Challenge, but he definitely did it his way. Antetokounmpo has spent the entire game playing above the rim. He’s not much of a shooter, but he wants the world to know how freakishly athletic he is. Curry is a phenomenal player, but he specializes as a sharp-shooter on the other side of the ball.

It was funny to see Curry not take himself too seriously on that play. Getting out of the way and hitting the dirt was the proper move for his public relations after the game. Curry is the two-time reigning NBA MVP. He doesn’t need a posterization courtesy of Antetokounmpo to wreck his All-Star weekend in the Big Easy. Curry might be taking it easy on Sunday night, but Antetokounmpo surely isn’t.
