This is it. The season finale of NBC’s Timeless is finally here! Will all of our questions be answered?

Last week, Rufus and Lucy are tasked with murdering Flynn’s mother and stopping him before he is even born, but instead decided to rescue Wyatt. After rescuing Wyatt, they head off to hunt down Flynn in 1931 Chicago where he has teamed up with legendary gangster Al Capone.

In yet another team-up with a legendary historical figure, Rufus, Wyatt, and Lucy join forces with Eliot Ness — who is subsequently gunned down. Forced to work with Capone’s brother, Rufus is then shot by the gangster, Capone is killed and Rufus passes out at the end of the episode. Everything happens extremely quickly, so I recommend watching it all again just to make sure you get the gist of everything that’s going on.

This week it looks like the team will delve into the Cold War, as the title of the episode is “The Red Scare,” and it is set in 1954. One of the heights of mass hysteria surrounding Communism, you can expect a cloak-and-dagger type episode that feels more like The Americans than Timeless. Expect something pretty special for their season finale.

The official description of season 1, episode 16 by NBC is given below:

"The team recruits Lucy’s grandfather in 1954 to help them defeat Rittenhouse."
