Nazem Kadri – TOR (C) – $6100

Nazem Kadri is my favorite value play on the slate tonight. At only $6100, he’s extremely discounted on DraftKings, and checks just about every box were looking to target. Toronto holds the highest projected team total at 3.4 goals, and Kadri will play on both the first line and first power-play unit. While his shot volume provides consistency, he has also proven his upside of late, where he’s recorded 15 points in his last 14 games.

Roman Josi – NAS (D) – $5700

Roman Josi has met, or exceeded, value in nearly every game since return, at the beginning of the month. Josi has an extremely safe fantasy floor from his shots and blocks. This month, Josi has averaged 3.57 shots, and 1.57 blocks per game.

Ryan Ellis – NAS (D) – $4300

Ryan Ellis is mid range defense-man that has a similar appeal, as Josi. Ellis is playing around 24 minutes per game, and has averaged 2.33 shots on goal, and 1.58 blocks per game this month. Ellis should also see time on the second power play unit, giving him a boost in upside. Nashville has a favorable match up, at home, against the Flames, so both Ellis and Josi should be considered.

Dennis Seidenberg – NYI (D) – $3200

If you find yourself needing a bit of salary cap relief, consider Dennis Seidenberg. Seidenberg is one of the superior punt options tonight. Seidenberg plays as part of the third defensive pairing for the Islanders, but is still seeing over 20 minutes per game. At only $3200, he would only need a combination of roughly 3 shots or blocks, in order to meet value. Over the course of the last month, he has averaged 1.40 shots and 2.27 blocks per game.

Kris Letang – PIT (D) – $6700

Kris Letang is the most tempting high end defensive play tonight. Letang gets it done in all categories; shots, blocks, assists, and most importantly, time on the ice. Letang averages over 26 minutes per game, and these minutes are even more valuable, as he is on a team with the offensive fire power of Pittsburgh.

Best of luck!
