3. Tight End

If Osweiler is going to start next year, one thing he did like to do was check down to his safety blanket tight ends. C.J. Fiedorowicz exploded statistically and became a fantasy relevant player. However, the talent and ceiling are not great there, despite the targets. Ryan Griffin is a free agent, and like Fiedorowicz had better stats than play would indicate. Stephen Anderson is intriguing, but the undrafted free agent is a major unknown to date.

Whether it is Osweiler or not, having a reliable tight end makes life a lot easier. In terms of skill players, it is the weakest position on the roster. While it may not be too appealing to sign a free agent tight end, this just so happens to be a draft class full of potential at the position.

It is safe to say that if O.J. Howard was on the board at their pick in the first round, he would be the perfect fit to complete the skill players for years to come. Even without him, there are options in the second or third round that could certainly come in and start next season. It would be a good bet to guess that the Texans will take a tight end at some point, and sooner, rather than later in the draft would certainly help.
