How to Get Away with Murder airs its two-part season 3 finale on Thursday, and here’s what you can expect from “He Made a Terrible Mistake” and “Wes.”
After a whirlwind third season, How to Get Away with Murder wraps up season 3 on Thursday. With two hours (they bumped Scandal off the 9 p.m. hour), we’ll see the entire chain of events that led to the house fire.
Of course, we started the season knowing that there was a fire and somebody died. And by the time the halfway mark arrived, we learned that Wes was in the body bag. Because of the way How to Get Away with Murder started — by making Wes an integral figure than any other student and focusing on so many aspects of his relationship with Annalise — it came as quite a shock.
Then the hits continued to come.
Just a few episodes ago, we discovered that someone moved Wes’ body from the coroner’s office. Now we know it was D.A. Atwood, but her motivations remain unclear. And according to the synopsis you’ll find below, it seems like the D.A.’s office still has a few tricks up their sleeve.

So here’s the synopsis for this week’s How to Get Away with Murder season 3 finale:
"In the first part of a combined Season 3 finale, a new angle in the DA’s case forces Annalise to change her strategy, and the Keating 4 react to a revelation about Wes’ death. In the second hour, details from the night of the fire show who killed Wes, testing Annalise’s and the Keating 4’s desire for self-preservation."
It’s so funny to see the term “self-preservation” there in plain black and white. Obviously, it’s the best description … but it doesn’t seem like a strong enough word to describe all the things that they’ve done.
