Louisville Cardinals forward Deng Adel took flight for a huge slam against the North Carolina Tar Heels on Wednesday night.

With the regular season winding down in college basketball, every game left matters that much more for seeding as March Madness draws near. The heavyweight battle of the night in the ACC was between the North Carolina Tar Heels and Louisville Cardinals. There was no shortage of highlights in a fierce battle in the first half, thanks in part to the one and only Deng Adel.

Loving to take flight and throw down with authority when he gets the chance, Adel got another opportunity on Wednesday night. After the Tar Heels missed a shot on offense, the Cardinals quickly pushed the pace and got out in transition.

That allowed for Adel to clear the lane and put down one of the more vicious dunks. There was nothing soft about this dunk at all and it was pretty clear that the Louisville forward was there to rip the rim off on the road.

In a game that has plenty on the line in the conference, neither team budged in the first half. The two teams traded the lead back and forth while trying to get the leg up on the other. These two teams are no strangers to each other.

It was physical and had plenty of moments of players looking to make risky plays to get the ball. However, when Adel takes off like this, it’s hard for anyone to try and stop him from making a statement.
