After some turmoil with James Dolan, Charles Oakley appears at a Knicks game

Charles Oakley has returned to a New York Knicks game. Not in Madison Square Garden, the Knicks home floor, but in Cleveland, where the Knicks are playing tonight.

As you can see in the tweet above, Oakley is sitting courtside during tonight’s game. Oakley is seated next to the Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert tonight as well. Oakley said that “he’s rooting for a good game” and that “he’s rooting for the better team.” When asked about his relationship with the Knicks owner James Dolan, he said, “How long would it take you to get over something?”

Oakley had an outburst at a Knicks game earlier this month after he was asked to leave because of his reported ongoing displeasures with Dolan. He was then escorted out of the arena and arrested on three counts of assault. Oakley was then banned by Dolan, and even though that ban has been lifted, Oakley will not forgive Dolan based on how he was treated in the arena.

Oakley loves the Knicks and he loves being a member of the organization. He loves the fans and the city but one thing for certain that he hates in New York is James Dolan. Oakley has made it clear that he does not intend on forgiving the Nicks owner and the timetable for when Oakley will return to MSG is unknown and it will not be anytime soon.

The Knicks are not looking very good this season, as they will probably miss the playoffs once again. They are sitting at No. 12 in the Eastern Conference and Phil Jackson, the President of Basketball Operations, will have to do some major reconstructing with this team if they want to be in the playoffs next year.
