The Golden State Warriors will have a chance at picking up a 10th straight win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday night.

The trade deadline is typically a day for most teams to look to the future or to the present depending upon their situations. The Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors are two teams that are locked in with their rosters. Los Angeles chose not to do anything significant and rather stayed the course on deadline day.

For the final time of the regular season this year, both the Warriors and Clippers will meet. Things just haven’t turned out the way the Clippers would hope for in this rivalry recently. They’ve dropped nine straight games to the Warriors and it’s become a mental battle for them.

Now, it’s one thing to lose to the Warriors but it’s another not to have Chris Paul on the court. Should these teams actually meet once again in the playoffs, the Clippers are hoping they can have their leader fully healthy to take on Golden State.

The Warriors are hoping the long rest and the time off can do the entire team some good. While four players went to the All-Star Game, it was still a time of relaxation and opportunity for them to hit the reset button as they get ready for the second half.

Tonight, both teams could very well come out of the break a little rusty after the time off. Still, this is a game the Clippers want to test themselves and Golden State would love to pick up a win at home as they begin their final stretch of the season.
