Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James rejected New York Knicks’ Courtney Lee’s dunk attempt at the rim.

Just when you think you have seen all that LeBron James has to offer, he adds another amazing play to his career highlight reel.

With just over five minutes remaining in the Knicks Cavs game, Courtney Lee thought he was going to get an easy layup. Lee caught the basketball at the three-point line in front of the bench. With no one in front of him, it looked like Lee would cut the Cavs’ lead to only 15 points.

LeBron James had other ideas. LeBron reached the three-point line around the same time as Lee began to make his move towards the basket. Lee charged towards the basket at full speed. LeBron took a few huge strides and then slowed down to time his jump.

As you may expect, James timed his jump perfectly. Right as Lee had elevated and reached the rim, LeBron blocked it. So much for Lee’s easy two points.

Two things stick out about LeBron’s play that make him different from other players in the league. Even with the Cavs up 17 with five minutes to play in the fourth quarters, LeBron still gets back on defense and refuses to give up an easy basket.

The second thing that stands out is how aware James was. After blocking the shot, LeBron had the presence of mind to get the loose ball before anyone else could and start the Cavs offense.

The Cleveland Cavaliers cruised to a 119-104 victory over the New York Knicks. LeBron finished with a triple-double. James scored 18 points, adding 15 assists and 13 rebounds. Outside of the blocked dunk, Courtney Lee had a very good game for the Knicks. Lee scored 25 points on 10-of-15 shooting with six rebounds and five assists.
