DeMarcus Cousins has officially begun his fresh start

DeMarcus Cousins is finally free of the trade rumors that have surrounded him for years now. The controversial big man is an incredible talent, but his hard-to-work-with personality rubbed people in Sacramento the wrong way for years. Finally deciding it was time to split ways, the Sacramento Kings traded Cousins to the New Orleans Pelicans.

This is a great thing for Cousins. He was in dire need of a fresh start in an organization that will not waste his incredible talent. He’s very excited to play next to a superstar in Anthony Davis, and the New Orleans fans have a chance to watch greatness unfold. New Orleans hasn’t had much to cheer about since Chris Paul left. Anthony Davis has been incredible, but it’s only led to one playoff appearance and a lot of missed expectations. With Cousins, the fans finally have a second star they can truly believe in. They let Cousins hear their excitement in his very first home game.

Those aren’t boos you’re hearing. It’s BOOOOOOOOGIEEEEEEE. These fans don’t care about Cousins’ past in Sacramento. They don’t care about the apparent “baggage” that comes along with a player like him. All the fans of New Orleans want to see is an incredible player help them win basketball games.

Cousins is a force down low that at will can take over an entire basketball game if he chooses to. New Orleans is about to get a taste of that and they can’t wait.
