Gordon Hayward done did Giannis Antetokounmpo dirty

Gordon Hayward has a reputation as a shooter, but he’s much more than that as a player. Hayward is great with the ball in his hands and isn’t afraid to to take it to the rim against any defender. Tonight, Giannis Antetokounmpo was guarding Hayward and those long arms are usually good enough to deter players from getting to the rim. Hayward, however, was unafraid and went straight at Antetokounmpo for one of the most disrespectful dunks of the year.

Hayward drove into the heart of the Milwaukee Bucks defense, and when Antetokounmpo tried to contest Hayward, he made it his personal mission to the end Antetokounmpo’s life. Not satisfied with his work Hayward hung on the rim and stared at Antetokounmpo the entire time before running back on defense.

To put a fellow star on a poster is bad enough, but to then stare at him while you hang on the rim so he knows what you’ve done is a level of disrespect that will not soon be forgotten.

This should have been the end of it, but Hayward wasn’t finished with Antetokounmpo quite yet and decided to put him on two posters in the same quarter. This one not as ferocious, but equally mean because it involved an alley-oop.

No stare down this time, because he probably didn’t want to start an ’80s style brawl but Hayward clearly had something to prove against Antetokounmpo tonight. Maybe he was sick of hearing about the young budding star and wanted to show the NBA world that he’s still not there yet, or maybe Antetokounmpo said something to Hayward during the All-Star game that didn’t quite sit right. Whatever the reason, Hayward has made it his mission to ruin Antetokounmpo’s night. May the basketball gods have mercy on his soul, because Hayward probably isn’t done yet.
