4. Los Angeles Lakers

The Lakers are in an interesting position right now. It seems as though they have the right ideas, but they are still a young team and they could slip up at any moment. But, with Magic at the helm, those mistakes should diminish rapidly.

The point guard position is an interesting decision right now for coach Luke Walton. D’Angelo Russell has shown the potential to be a franchise point guard and he has also illustrated that he is still a young player in the league. Williams can help Russell.

Williams can add another veteran presence to the Lakers locker room. When Russell starts to have his fits of isolation shots and bad defense, Walton can sub in Williams to calm things down before sending Russell back in. One problem that will occur is sharing the minutes.

Walton currently has to spread minutes between Nick Young, D’Angelo Russell, and Jordan Clarkson. The Lakers have shown their commitment to Clarkson and Russell, but have been reluctant to commit to Young, who is a streaky shooter at best. Williams can add stability to the Lakers lineup.
