In tonight’s Big 12 matchup, which features Oklahoma v. Kansas, Carlton Bragg Jr. had the best missed dunk of the whole season.

Carlton Bragg Jr can fly. Although he made himself look very stupid in the attempt, it is definitely worth noting that Bragg decided that he would break out his best Russell Westbrook impression tonight.

Bragg is in the midst of a perfect transition possession right there. His teammate, Devonte’ Graham, hit him in stride to the bucket for an easy dunk.

Or so everyone thought.

Bragg catches the ball in stride and launches from the middle of the paint to get high above his defenders and put an exclamation point on the drive. But he failed to do so.

Bragg was rim stuffed. Not just rim stuffed, but gloriously rejected by the front of the rim. Bragg was ready to slam the ball down, which was plainly obvious by how far he cocked it back in his windup. One thing that Bragg may have forgotten was to get enough lift under him to be sure he made it all the way to the rim.

It’s not the fact that Bragg missed the dunk that makes this attempt so funny, it’s the fact that he was not that far away from the hoop and he made it look like he was about to break the backboard with that dunk.

Bragg landed hard on his rear-end after the attempt and looked dumbfounded as he tried to examine what just happened to him. Bragg is not the first player in the world to miss a dunk attempt, but he looked so confident in his way up that it is hard not to laugh at his fail.

Bragg shook off the attempt, though, as he is shown later in the game smiling about it.
