8. Larry Fitzgerald – $140,296,387

Larry Fitzgerald will likely be one of those rare NFL superstars who plays his entire career with one organization. The Arizona Cardinals made Fitzgerald the third overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft, selecting the smooth wide receiver from the University of Pittsburgh. Since that time, Fitzgerald has established himself as one of the best wideouts in the game, and he will likely be immortalized in Canton, Ohio one day.

Arizona gave Fitzgerald a big rookie contract, and the deal would ensure that he would be in a Cardinals uniform for the next six season. The $60 million rookie contract would be the first of many big contracts for Fitzgerald, who would since an extension of over $100 million in 2011. The past three seasons, Fitzgerald has made $33 million, all of which has been guaranteed money.

Fitzgerald has been well worth the money, helping lead the Cardinals to a Super Bowl during his time with the team. A 10-time Pro Bowl selection, Fitzgerald has racked up over 14,000 receiving yards during his career, as well as hauling in over 100 touchdowns. He has said he would like to continue playing, and with Carson Palmer coming back for 2017, the Cards could find themselves in the playoffs after a one-year hiatus.
