The 2017 NFL Scouting Combine will broadcast throughout the week on the NFL Network. What channel is the NFL Network on Dish, DirecTV, and other providers?

It’s getting to be that time of the year where the college football world meets the NFL in Indianapolis. That’s right. The 2017 NFL Scouting Combine is rapidly approaching. It will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis from Tuesday, Feb. 28 to Monday, Mar. 6.

Many of the top collegiate prospects will get to showcase their talent in front of scouts and front office executives from all 32 teams. As it always is, the NFL Network has exclusive broadcasting rights for the NFL Scouting Combine. What channel is that for Dish, DirecTV, and other television providers.

Dish has the NFL Network listed as Channel 154. It is available in the television package that offers America’s Top 200. DirecTV has the NFL Network listed at Channel 212. It is available in Choice Packages and up. As for local cable packages, it really all depends on the package one has. A package with over 150 channels likely has it included.

While the NFL Scouting Combine will begin on Tuesday, Feb. 28, there won’t be any events or drills to watch intently until Thursday, Mar. 2. That is when the special teamers begin field work and the offensive linemen and running backs begin doing the bench press. This three-position group will do cone drills, the shuttle run, and always popular 40-yard dash on Friday, Mar. 3

From Friday, Mar. 3 on, there will be plenty to see in the fieldwork with all of the position groups. The NFL has wisely saved the most explosive runners for last, as the secondary will be the final participants in the 40-yard dash.

The combine is always important so that NFL teams get to see as many players partaking in the same level of competition. They will also be getting the same medical information as their competing teams. Somebody this week will turn a great showing at the scouting combine to a couple extra million bucks on a rookie contract.
