As we inch closer to March Madness, we look at who has best chances of making a run out of the Big 12 in this week’s power rankings
Conference play is in full swing, and we now are starting to get a feel for who these teams are and how dangerous they can be in March. The Big 12, like most years, looks to be a strong conference from top to bottom with teams like Kansas, Baylor and West Virginia making the best cases for a high seed in the NCAA Tournament.
Here are the Big 12 Power Rankings
It took a few weeks, but Texas worked their way back to down to the bottom of the Power rankings. Since an impressive win at home against Iowa State, Texas has lost five straight games. They fell to West Virginia in Morgantown and home against Kansas this week. Texas will head to Lubbock to take on Texas Tech and has their senior day at home against Baylor this weekend. It will be tough to find anything to be optimistic about for them heading into the Big 12 tournament.
Oklahoma is coming off of their most impressive win of the season. They struggled early in the week, but only lost by six against Baylor. They bounced back, though, and blew out Kansas State at home by 30 points. These are the wins that could burst bubbles in the Big 12, and they are what the Sooners will have to cling on to. Oklahoma has a road trip to Kansas before hosting TCU for their senior night this weekend.
