Is This Is Us new tonight, February 28? We let you know if the hit NBC drama is airing a new episode on Tuesday and what you can expect ahead.

Fans of NBC‘s This Is Us are wondering if the drama will be airing a new episode on Tuesday night as President Donald Trump is scheduled to make his first address to Congress.

This Is Us is not airing a new episode on Tuesday, February 28. The series has been preempted in its entirety for the State of the Union. More details on the preemption and NBC’s other schedule changes due to the SOTU can be found here.

The Pearsons will be back next Tuesday, March 7 at 9 p.m. Season 1, episode 17 is called “What Now?” and picks up in the aftermath of that heartbreaking death from last week’s “Memphis.” It won’t be easy to move on.

As Randall (Sterling K. Brown) hosts a family gathering, things get exceptionally tense between Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) and Rebecca (Mandy Moore) when she prepares to leave and go on tour with her band.

Tuesday’s preemption is different from the last time This Is Us went up against presidential remarks. When NBC News chose to broadcast President Barack Obama’s farewell address NBC simply delayed the start of This Is Us by an hour and preempted Chicago Fire instead. But that won’t be the case this time. Fans will have to wait another week.

There are just two more episodes left in the first season of This Is Us. The good news is that the show has already been renewed for a second season, as well as a third, by NBC. Both seasons will have a minimum of 18 episodes so it’s possible that fans could get even more of the Pearson family next fall.
