Barcelona vs. Sporting Gijon live stream: Watch La Liga online
Barcelona face Sporting Gijon at the Camp Nou on Wednesday, March 1. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Barcelona welcome Sporting Gijon to the Camp Nou on Wednesday evening as La Liga returns for some midweek action. In the past two weeks Luis Enrique’s side have had two huge victories over Leganes and Atletico Madrid. The Blaugrana were quite fortunate to win both of those games but they showed the steely resolve that champions possess to come out on top and keep the pressure on Real Madrid. This will fill Barcelona with confidence after their humbling defeat away to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
Unfortunately for Gijon they might have stumbled across Barcelona at the wrong time. The La Liga strugglers could be in for a long night as Enrique’s side turn on the style. Normally after a couple of close games Barca turn into a goalscoring machine, so five or six goals isn’t out of the question here. Sporting Gijon will look to frustrate Barcelona but the Catalans should have too much for the team from the north of Spain. They can take heart from lowly Leganes’ performance at the Camp Nou a couple of weeks ago. Leganes conceded early but then held Barcelona for great periods of the match and actually created more clear cut goalscoring opportunities. If Gijon can replicate that then they may stand a chance on Wednesday.
