High Salary PG

John Wall, WAS at TOR ($10,400): Wall extended his double-double streak to 12 on Tuesday night, dishing a career-high 19 assists with 12 points, six rebounds and two steals against the Warriors. This brings his averages to 21.7 points, 13.7 assists, 4.0 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 0.9 blocks during this 12-game stretch. On Wednesday, he faces a Raptors defense missing Kyle Lowry that takes some pressure off opposing point guards. ****

Chris Paul, LAC vs HOU ($9700): Paul seemed to be approaching full-strength on Sunday, playing 41 minutes in an overtime game and dishing 17 assists with 15 points, nine rebounds and a steal against the Hornets. On Wednesday, Paul and the Clippers will face a Rockets squad with overwhelming offensive capabilities but a defense that allows volume production to every position exet point guard. The Rockets have allowed the eighth-fewest fantasy points to opposing point guards, but since the Clippers’ entire offense runs through Paul it is likely that he will get his in a game that looks to be a track meet. ***

Kyrie Irving, CLE at BOS ($9100): Irving has scored at least 23 points in nine straight games, averaging 26.7 points, 6.3 assists, 2.9 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 0.6 blocks during that stretch. He has thrived whether LeBron James was in the line-up (as in Irving’s 25 points/nine assists/four rebounds/two steals outing on Monday, or done even better with James on the bench (like the game before, when Irving dropped 34 points, nine rebounds and seven assists). On Wednesday, Irving faces a Celtics defense that has allowed the 11th-most fantasy points to point guards this season. ****

Bonus players to watch. Jrue Holiday, NO vs DET ($7700) has struggled to find his level as the third offensive option behind Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins, but Cousins is suspended which could let Holiday thrive on Wednesday. Also, Darren Collison, SAC vs BKN ($6000) has struggled a bit lately as the Kings have been playing Ty Lawson more at point guard. However, on Wednesday Collison faces a Nets defense that is among the worst in the NBA against any position, which could let him bounce-back.
