Jahlil Okafor basically took a break on the court (Video)

Jahlil Okafor decided it was time to take a much-needed break from playing defense tonight against the Miami Heat.
Jahlil Okafor has fully embraced the tank and Sam Hinkie’s “Process.”
Hassan Whiteside, the Miami Heat’s starting center, set a pick for Goran Dragic, the Heat’s starting point guard, as Dragic attempted to penetrate the defense. Okafor sagged off and hung out in the paint, waiting for his prey to enter the paint. As Dragic entered the paint, Okafor didn’t step up, but rather sagged off even more and let Dragic take an uncontested floater in the paint.
But, Dragic missed the shot. No harm no foul, right? Wrong.
Rodney McGruder, the Heat’s best rookie on the team, swooped in to grab the rebound after Okafor did not even try to grab the rock. McGruder then dribbled around Okafor and TJ McConnell and found Whiteside as he rounded the corner.
McGruder then gave Whiteside the ball and Whiteside hit a nice floater in the paint. Just one question: where was Okafor? Back in the paint … letting a shot go uncontested.
Okafor is not known for playing good defense, but this is absolutely inexcusable. Okafor was not only flat-footed the entire time, but would not take one step outside of his precious paint. He showed all the fans that Joel Embiid can’t return soon enough.
With Embiid out for the remainder of the season, Okafor is the next man up. Okafor needs to step up his defensive game in order to help the Philadelphia 76ers have a chance at winning any game, ever.
The Sixers are already looking forward to pressing the reset button next season and the end can’t come soon enough. The team is supposed to regain Ben Simmons, Embiid, and they will draft another young piece in the upcoming NBA draft. The future is bright.
