In tonight’s primetime showdown, the Cleveland Cavaliers vs the Boston Celtics, LeBron James almost made a huge mistake.

LeBron James ran into New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and almost caused a riot in Boston. All joking aside, this could have been a lot worse than what it was.

After the missed layup by his teammate, Derrick Williams, James charged into the paint to collect the rebound and possibly get a put-back slam. But, James mistimed his jump as Jonas Jerebko collected the board and started the Celtics’ fast break.

LeBron then tumbled into the front row of cameramen and fans as he had a hard time collecting himself before running into the people. LeBron pushed the cameraman to try and stop himself and in the process ran into Bill Belichick and his wife.

Luckily, nothing bad happened as LeBron stopped himself and there seem to be no injuries to any of the parties involved in the incident. Belichick is shown smiling — a rare occurrence — and laughing about the incident.

After the rebound, Jerebko passed the ball to Isaiah Thomas, who ran the ball down the court and drove the ball right into the paint to draw the foul from Kyle Korver who attempted to block Thomas’ attempt.

Tonight’s matchup between the Celtics and the Cavs was a big game considering that this could be an Eastern Conference finals matchup. With the Cavs’ upgraded bench, they should be able to take themselves further into the playoffs. The Celtics are looking to retain the number two spot after the Washington Wizards snuck into the three seed. The Wizards are currently 1.5 games back of the two seed and can be the team to watch out for once the playoffs come around.
