Here are all the Nintendo Switch titles you can play at launch
Although The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the crown jewel of the Nintendo Switch launch, there are other games coming out as well.
We’re down to mere days before the Nintendo Switch will finally come out. Somehow, we get the feeling that most of you will focus on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. For those of you who missed out on a pre-order copy, or who just don’t want to play Zelda (though we can’t imagine why), there are other titles to make that shiny new console worthwhile.
Via Nintendo Life, here are all the launch titles for the Nintendo Switch, all with a March 3 release date:
Physical releases:
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild: You know, Link, Zelda, but this time with a Sheikah Slate and a massive world.
- 1-2 Switch: The party game where you have to look at people instead of a screen.
- Just Dance 2017: The party game where you have to look at a screen, but also stand up and move.
- Super Bomberman R: The newest iteration in a classic series, with explosions galore.
- Skylanders Imaginators: Amiibo before Amiibo, and also with “Sky-Chi Powers” according to the Nintendo description.
eShop releases:
(Yes, the eShop will have titles at launch.)
- Snipperclips: Cut it out, together!: A paper-cutting puzzle game that you should probably play with friends if that title is any indication.
- I am Setsuna: A Square Enix RPG. Need we say more?
- Fast RMX: Zoom along in anti-gravity.
- Little Inferno: Indulge your inner pyromaniac.
- Vroom in the Night Sky: A title only confirmed for a global release today by outlets like Nintendo Wire, it’s not a racing game, but a game that involves a magical motorcycle.
- Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment and Treasure Trove: Yacht Club Games has confirmed both games will be day-one digital releases.
- World of Goo: In case you haven’t picked it up on Wii, it’s back again.
- Human Resource Machine: Ditto, but with Wii U instead of Wii.
Nintendo Life’s list also includes a ton of additional releases for Japan, both physical and digital. Since the Switch is region-free, as confirmed during the release event and detailed by Polygon, you could choose to import some titles if you believe they won’t be released stateside.
Next: Horizon: Zero Dawn first impressions
Between Zelda and I am Setsuna, though, RPG and adventure fans will have plenty to play, and other gamers have some excellent indie options as well. The Switch hits stores on March 3.
