The 2017 NASCAR season begins in earnest as the spectacle of Daytona is in the rearview mirror and Atlanta awaits.

It’s hard to top the Daytona 500 for pageantry and importance, but the truth is that it only kicks off another season. Atlanta Motor Speedway is the next stop for all three of NASCAR’s top series, with a weekend full of racing ahead.

There’s no shortage of intrigue for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series drivers heading into Week 2. Kurt Busch is the points leader after his Daytona win, but is Stewart-Haas Racing already the stable to beat? What will it look like in a race where (presumably anyway) half the field isn’t taken out by wrecks? How will the first Atlanta race with stages affect strategy?

The XFINITY Series and Camping World Truck Series also had their share of wrecks at Daytona, and a bunch of teams will be hoping not to tear up good equipment in consecutive weeks. Note that this is one of the stops on the circuit where the trucks actually race after the XFINITY cars when it’s generally the other way around.
