Fans who went to see Logan were treated to a teaser trailer for Deadpool 2. Was the trailer any good? Need you even ask?

As if you needed another reason to see Logan this weekend, now we know that there is a Deadpool 2 teaser trailer in theaters ahead of the final Hugh Jackman Wolverine movie.

In the trailer we see a man in a hoodie walking down a street when he hears a crime in progress nearby. He pulls out his earbuds and slides his hood back. It’s Wade Wilson, a.k.a. Deadpool. He sees a guy holding up a man in an alley, so he quickly searches for an area to change into his alter ego, Deadpool.

Wade dashes across a street that looks a lot like the area where Bruce Wayne’s parents were murdered (indeed, the theater is there, only the marquee reads Logan on it in a nod to Wolverine and Hugh Jackman, two of Deadpool’s idols) to a phone booth. Yes, a phone booth.

The iconic theme music from Superman plays as he jumps inside to make the change, but Wade discovers that it’s really hard to change clothes in a phone booth. Ryan Reynolds’ derriere makes a prolonged appearance pressed up against the dirty glass.

Once he makes a phone call and gets zipped up in all the right places, he emerges as Deadpool. Stan Lee compliments him on his costume but Deadpool has no time for small talk. Will he arrive in time to save the day?

Next: When will Deadpool 2 come out in theaters?

While there is no release date planned for Deadpool 2, I’m guessing that a Valentine’s Day 2018 release is very likely. Who better to go up against Christian Grey in the final movie of the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy than the Merc with a Mouth? It would be perfect timing for Deadpool to return considering his record-breaking debut over Valentine’s Day in 2016. And just think of the promotions for the movie. It’s a match made in cinematic heaven.

One thing is for sure: If the trailer tells us anything it’s that Deadpool 2 will be awesome.
