San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard hit the winning three and blocked James Harden to defeat the Houston Rockets on Monday night.

While everyone has been talking about the MVP battle between James Harden and Russell Westbrook, San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard has been making his own case. With the Spurs chasing the Golden State Warriors for the best record in the NBA, Leonard has been on a tear.

Facing the Houston Rockets in a pivotal division game on Monday night, Leonard outplayed Harden at the end to seal the victory for his team. After hitting the winning three to give his team the lead, Leonard flexed his defensive muscles.

As Harden drove down the floor to try and score at the hoop, Leonard showed off his ridiculous athletic ability to go up and block the shot. In the process he also highlighted why he is a contender for the MVP award.

This is a huge win for the Spurs as they try to stay ahead of the Rockets in the Western Conference. This was one of the best games of the year in the league as two of the best players went at it on the floor.
