The Philadelphia Eagles are really interested in signing WR Kenny Britt.

The Philadelphia Eagles reportedly have their sights on WR Kenny Britt.

According to Benjamin Allbright of AM1340/104.7 FM in Denver, the Eagles are trying desperately to upgrade their wide receiving corps, and they are targeting Britt to be a part of their rebuilt receiving unit.

There are plenty of reason why going after Britt would be a great move for Philadelphia.

A four-star prospect coming out of Bayonne High School in New Jersey, Britt attended Rutgers University and became one of the nation’s best wide receivers. In ’09, he was drafted by the Tennessee Titans, and early on it seemed that Britt would be on his way to stardom on the big stage.

But his on-the-field talent was being overshadowed by his run-ins with law enforcement, and he fell out of favor in Nashville. His career would take him to the Rams in 2014, where he would revive his career.

Despite a lethargic Rams offense, Britt had a coming-out-party in 2016, catching 68 balls for 1,002 yards and five touchdowns. His big frame (he’s 6-3, 223 pounds) would make him an ideal target in Philly’s passing attack, which is why it would really be a no-brainer for the Eagles to chase after him.

But if Philly wants to land the talented Britt, they will have to contend with the San Francisco 49ers, who are, according to Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee, also looking to rebuild their offense and has also targeted Britt as the man that would rescue their tattered offense.
