With NFL free agency coming quickly, here are the players each team should be targeting first.

Entering the 2017 NFL offseason, each team has needs they’re looking to fill. Whether a team is a contender or rebuilding, free agency is a unique opportunity for teams to improve. When utilized properly, it’s arguably the best way to add role players to your team. Here’s a free agent each NFL team should add this offseason.

Arizona Cardinals – Tony Jefferson

The Arizona Cardinals have a dilemma. They have two free agent safeties and likely can only keep one. D.J. Swearinger is very good, but Tony Jefferson is better. The Cardinals can’t afford to lose the leader of their defense. While he’s not the best in pass coverage, he provides incredible value by stopping the run. If Arizona wants to compete in 2017, re-signing Jefferson is an absolute must. Otherwise, things could get ugly.

Atlanta Falcons – Julius Peppers

Atlanta needs to upgrade their pass rush. It would be so awkward seeing Julius Peppers in a Falcons jersey, but it needs to happen. The former Panthers defensive lineman has made the switch to outside linebacker and is still an athletic freak. Vic Beasley needs some support and Peppers is the perfect guy to do it for a team searching for the final piece to their Super Bowl puzzle.

Baltimore Ravens – Brandon Marshall

The Baltimore Ravens are losing a great receiver in Steve Smith Sr. Very few players match what he brings to the table and his competitive fire. However, Brandon Marshall is one of them. He’d give the Ravens a great possession receiver, something they’ve lacked since getting rid of Anquan Boldin. Marshall doesn’t have a squeaky clean resume, but his off the field issues seem to be a thing of the past.
