The Seahawks know that their window to win a Super Bowl is still wide open. How can they add to the core to make another run in 2017?

The Seahawks were a clear Super Bowl favorite before Earl Thomas went down to injury. In games that Thomas started, the Seahawks were 8-2-1. Without him, they were 2-4. While Thomas did scare some fans with retirement talk, he should be back for 2017.

Seattle was the only team to beat New England with Tom Brady starting last season, and that has to tell it that its close to a Super Bowl run. The team has spent on big names in the past, so who are some game changers the Hawks could add in 2017 to get back their dominant ways?

5. Kevin Zeitler

The Seahawks offensive line was a wreck in 2016. They shifted guys around, struggled to find any fits and ended up getting Russell Wilson hurt. The entire unit has no answers heading into 2017. The Seahawks have never been afraid to make a big splash in the offseason, and adding Zeitler would be just that.

Zeitler is one of the elite guards in the NFL. He has been a consistent force for the Bengals. However, the Bengals are having some issues with their payroll.and some reports have mentioned that Zeitler could be walking this offseason.

The Seahawks entire line is a mess, but it may be smart to fix the guard position first. The team was successful with Marshawn Lynch, as an offense that led with power running between the tackles. Germain Ifedi has slid into a guard position and should be looked at as a starter next season. To add Zeitler would complete at least one unit of the Hawks offensive line, which is more than they can say about this year’s group.

Zeitler would cost a pretty penny, but the Seahawks are all-in. He is a player the Hawks should be targeting to make a run this season.
