What could be the direction of the WWE Universal Championship after WrestleMania 33 ?

By now the majority of WWE fans know what went down at Fastlane this past weekend. Kevin Owens walked into the show with the WWE Universal Championship firmly in his grasp, and less than 30 seconds after his match with Goldberg began, the Prizefighter was on the losing end of the match and can now be called the former Universal Champion.

Owens may have his own issues with Chris Jericho going forward, but Goldberg now has the top title on RAW and heads to WrestleMania for his showdown with Brock Lesnar. That match, of course, now has the Universal Championship attached to it. Whoever can get the win on the night will be positioned as the most important man on the red side of the WWE Brand split.

Lesnar is desperate for his revenge on Goldberg. It was only a few months ago that he took the former WCW Champion lightly and was on the wrong end of a three count at Survivor Series. They’ve gone back and forth, and a match was set for WrestleMania in just under a months time. Goldberg winning the Universal title added some potentially unnecessary gold to the match.

We are now in the situation where two part-timers are set to be in what will probably end up being the main event match at WrestleMania. This is the match that Vince McMahon is hoping will draw in a large number of casual fans to either purchase the event on pay-per-view or sign up for the WWE Network to watch.

But what happens with the Universal Championship, and RAW as a whole, coming out of the three possible outcomes from this match?
