Will Jane Doe be back in action Wednesday? That’s what fans of NBC‘s Blindspot are wondering after the series took the day off last week to make room for the network’s three-hour crossover between the One Chicago shows.
But Blindspot is not airing a new episode on Wednesday, March 8. In fact, it’s not airing at all.
NBC has shelved the series in favor of a repeat episode of its lead-out Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. The network will run the SVU installment “Next Chapter” in Blindspot‘s time slot at 8 p.m. as part of a two-hour block for Olivia Benson and company.
This will be the third time that NBC has opted to pass over Jane (Jaimie Alexander) and her friends to double up on SVU; the same thing also happened on Jan. 25 and Feb. 1.
So when will you get to see Jane next? The next new episode of Blindspot won’t be on the air until Wednesday, March 22 at 8 p.m.
In that episode, which is called “Evil Did I Dwell, Lewd Did I Live,” audiences will finally get to know who is Nas Kamal’s (Archie Panjabi) source inside the terrorist organization known as Sandstorm. Hopefully it’s not the same person who was last seen trying to choke her to death.
Until then, make like Jane and Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) and pour yourself a drink.
