Where can you find and watch Legion “Chapter 5” online?
In the final sequence of the fourth chapter of Legion, David managed to return to the real world and find Syd and the others. Of course, it didn’t go that smoothly, and David accidentally allowed The Eye to escape thinking he was Syd. The upcoming chapter should shed some light on the consequences of the escape as well as how Kari’s injury rebounded across her connection to Kerry. This suggests that the major action in “Chapter 5” will revolve around David’s attempt to rescue Amy. It’s unclear how much help he’ll get from the other mutants, but I doubt Syd will be able to talk him out of the attempt completely this time.
Even though the members of Division 3 drove David out of Clockworks and kidnapped his sister, they remained largely an obscure threat for the first few episodes of the series. David was never really exposed to them, and they did not move against him directly either. Despite their looming presence outside the house, David has been more haunted by the Devil with Yellow Eyes and the Angriest Boy in the World. Both of these figures seem to be ghosts from his past rather than corporeal threats in the present. It’s not even clear if either the Angriest Boy or the Devil with Yellow Eyes actually have power over anything outside David’s mind.
Throughout the first four episodes of Legion, one of the recurring questions has been, “What is real and what is not?” Using David as essentially the point-of-view character for the audience only reinforced it because his perception of the world is so warped. At the end of the very first episode, David asked Syd, “Is all this real?”
It has even been speculated that Legion could be taking place entirely within David’s mind. Each episode, more characters have begun to doubt the realities of what they see and experience. David has never been convinced of his reality, and both Sydney and Ptonomy questioned their experiences in the real world after spending time in David’s mind. In the promo for “Chapter 5,” Melanie is the one stating that they might all be in “David’s world” now.
Making Legion entirely an illusion within David’s mind in many ways would be the least complicated and interesting thing FX could do with the show, so hopefully that is not where it’s going to end up. The show has been building up the mystery between reality and what’s in David’s mind admirably so far, and to throw that out the window in favor of a quick and easy solution would be a letdown. Also, it has been suggested that David can alter reality itself to a certain degree. He could even have been the one who created the character of Lenny out of his old friend Benny. So David’s world, in this case, may mean the real world that he modified to some degree, or one entirely within his own mind. I hope if it’s true, the world does physically exist.
