Apparently, he’s a fan of the product as well.

Chris Buescher turned heads last season by winning the second Pocono race and becoming a surprise entrant in the 2016 Chase while driving for Front Row Motorsports. This year he’s piloting the No. 37 Chevy for JTG Daugherty Racing, and he’s set to attract attention this weekend in Las Vegas thanks to a couple of new sponsors.

Most notably, Natural Light will adorn the hood of the No. 37 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and bring a distinctive blue and pink color scheme to the car as well. The car will also feature the logo of Barstool Sports as the companies team up for their Barstool Natty Tailgate Tour, which will make its first stop in Sin City.

A press release for the partnership described the synergy between the driver and the two brands this way:

"Natty wasn’t going to sponsor just any driver, but Chris is right in Natty’s demo; a 24-year-old, up-and-coming driver from Texas (a huge Natty Light market). Chris is a perfect fit for the brand – he’s just a regular guy, a true Texan who enjoys mudding in his spare time and has previously (and proudly!) stated his favorite beer is Natural Light."

Buescher is carrying primary sponsorship from Scott Products brands like Cottonelle and the grocery chain Kroger in his 2017 mix. He’s off to a rough start to the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series campaign, finishing 35th at Daytona and 24th at Atlanta, but it’s worth noting that it took him a while to get going in 2016 as well.

Next: Is NASCAR considering quieter cars?

If he can improve on his 26th-place showing in Vegas last year at Sunday’s Kobalt 400, he’ll have a chance to grab some early season attention for himself as well as Natural Light and Barstool Sports, and that should make everyone involved pretty happy.
