Playing the role of Nostradamus with tattoos has become a trend, but this Titans fan put a twist on it.

With the new league year set to launch on Thursday in the NFL, it is time to reset records and expectations. Technically, all 32 teams now have a new opportunity to lift the Lombardi Trophy next February. This is the time of year where hope consumes NFL faithful; the combination of free agency and the draft lead to sparkling and exciting new additions.

With aspirations and anticipation comes predictions, some being more outrageous than others. For example, permanently inking your skin with a tattoo to showcase belief that your team will be the next world champion. This is usually followed up with 15 minutes of fame on Twitter, Facebook, and/or Instagram.

Well, we have a new winner today, but this is a unique case. This Tennessee Titans fan hedged his forecast by not reaching for the stars completely:

Bravo sir, bravo. Hey, at least this guy put some thought into his ink before going through with it, right? I mean, if you’re going to go ahead with something like this, why not be smart and somewhat realistic? Excuse the sarcasm, but is an AFC South title really worthy of some arm art?At least the guys who are crazy enough to call for a Super Bowl put all their chips on the table. Besides, the AFC South has been one of the worst divisions in football of late.

Best case scenario, Tennessee wins the division, earns a home playoff game, and then what? I’m all for loving your team, but c’mon now. A customized t-shirt would have done the trick.

Perhaps the fan is excited for the offseason ahead for Tennessee. Rumors about acquiring Alshon Jeffery or Brandin Cooks have floated around. Best of luck to this fan, he will need it.
