Barcelona completed the biggest comeback in Champions League knockout round history against PSG today. Twitter lost its mind.
Barcelona were down 4-0 to PSG after the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 match in Paris. Wednesday, the second leg took place in Spain. Barca needed a miracle, or at least a boatload of goals.
They started off quick enough, as Luis Suarez scored in the third minute. Their second goal, however, wouldn’t come until just before halftime. Barcelona still needed three more to win. Lionel Messi scored in the 50th minute and hopes began to rise, but Edinson Cavani’s goal 12 minutes later completely took the air out the Camp Nou. All hope seemed lost.
And then Neymar scored two minutes short of 90 minutes to make it 4-1, 4-5 on aggregate with PSG possessing an away goal. It was just a small flicker of hope: surely Barca couldn’t score two more goals before time ran out. Five minutes of extra time was announced. The stadium seemed to grow quiet with concentration. Neymar scored again in the 91st. One more goal to go.

Flash forward to the 95th minute. Only seconds left. Sergio Roberto latched onto a floated pass over the top of the PSG defense and scored on a sublime volley. The crowd went nuts. The players went nuts. The announcers went nuts. And, of course, Twitter went completely insane.
The reaction Tweets can be broken down into a few categories.
