Tony Romo will be playing for a new NFL team in 2017, as the Dallas Cowboys are expected to release him on Thursday.

Tony Romo has spent his entire NFL career with the Dallas Cowboys, but all of that is about to end on Thursday. The 14-year veteran will be granted his release from the team, ending a run as one of the better quarterbacks in franchise history. Romo has been linked to the Denver Broncos for next season, serving as a bridge until 2016 first round draft pick Paxton Lynch is ready to take over the job.

Another star who is on the move is Brandon Marshall, though he does not have to move very far. The former New York Jets wide receiver signed a two-year deal with the New York Giants on Wednesday, agreeing to a contract worth $12 million. Marshall has gone over 1,000 yards eight times in his career, and with his addition, the Giants will have a three-headed monster at wide receiver in Marshall, Odell Beckham Jr., and Sterling Shepard.

Staying with the wide receivers, it looks like Kenny Stills wont be going to the Philadelphia Eagles after all. After a few days of speculation, Stills is actually staying put, agreeing to a four-year deal to stay with the Miami Dolphins. Stills is a good looking young player for the Dolphins, and at 24-years old, his best football should still be out in front of him.

Tyrod Taylor was supposed to have played his last game for the Buffalo Bills, but all of that changed on Wednesday. Taylor is going to restructure his current deal in order to stay with the team, giving first-year head coach Sean McDermott a valuable, veteran quarterback under center. The Bills have not made the playoffs in nearly 20 years, so it was good to see the organization staying loyal to Taylor for the long run.

Brian Hoyer has been a decent quarterback throughout his NFL career, but he has certainly been a journeyman. After playing for the Chicago Bears last season, Hoyer will be making the move to the west coast, inking a two-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers new head coach is Kyle Shanahan, who was the Cleveland Browns’ offensive coordinator when Hoyer was with the team back in 2014.

Finally, the New England Patriots have a new backup plan if Rob Gronkowski cannot come back healthy from his latest injury. The Patriots are trading for the Indianapolis Colts tight end Dwayne Allen and a sixth-round pick, giving the Colts a fourth-round pick in exchange. Allen became disposable to the Colts after the team locked up Jack Doyle to a new contract on Tuesday, and the Patriots will once again have two dangerous tight ends on their roster in 2017.
