A new overview trailer for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe showcases everything that will be included in the game.
If you never purchased a Wii U, then you probably missed out on an incredible game. When Mario Kart 8 launched back in 2014, it was one of the funnest games of the year. Thankfully, we’ll be able to revisit it on the Switch, which will be the definitive version of the game.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe contains all the DLC from the first game, along with some new characters to choose from. Battle Mode is also making its return to the series. Best of all, the game simply has never looked this good. We’re extremely excited to play it.
In the new trailer, we learn all the details about this version. For example, how many tracks we’ll be able to race on, how many characters to choose from, along with some newcomers they highlight, and an emphasis on the new mode.
Check it out below:
With all the DLC included from the original game, there will be total of 48 tracks to play. That’s a massive amount of tracks to choose from. Of course, we won’t play most of them, especially Rainbow Road since the rage consumes our souls.
When it comes to the characters, the DLC characters will be available on day one, like Link and Isabelle. The newcomers include Inkling Girl and Boy from the Splatoon series, King Boo, Dry Bones, and Bowser Jr. If you look closely you also see a Golden Mario. There will be a total of 40 characters to play with.
There are some interesting details they’ve implemented. For example, the ability to hold two items now, which is game-changing. You can also break while drifting, which will help you stay on the track.
The new Battle Mode contains Balloon Battle, Renegade Roundup, Bob-omb Blast, Coin Runners, and Shine Thief. Each of these modes offer a different type of way to play against friends. There are a variety of different stages to play on as well.
