Arsenal face Lincoln City at Emirates Stadium on Saturday, March 11 in the FA Cup quarterfinals. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
There are few things as important as having a short memory when it comes to soccer. From match to match ad even goal to goal, you can’t let each weigh on you. Instead, you simply have to move on. That’s what Arsene Wenger and Arsenal need to do after what happened during the middle of the week. If they fail to do so, they’ll find themselves in unforeseen trouble as they face Lincoln City in the FA Cup quarterfinals from the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
Arsenal came into the second leg of their Champions League fixture against Bayern Munich miles behind on aggregate. However, there was at least hope that they could make it respectable. But with the continually perplexing decision to leave Alexis Sanchez out of the starting XI, things only go worse. Bayern kept pouring it on to the tune of a 10-2 victory on Aggregate.
Now the Gunners face a far inferior opponent. However, that honestly isn’t something they can be thinking about given their recent poor performance. Their possession is dismal in the middle of the field and their attack has little to no creativity without Alexis starting and playing at least close to the full 90 minutes.
Lincoln City on the other hand play in the fifth tier in England and truly shouldn’t offer much resistance to Arsenal. We’ll have to see if that’s so and/or just how bad it’s gotten with Wenger.
Saturday’s match will be broadcast on FS2 on Saturday, which means live streaming will be on FOX Sports Go. Log in online or through the app using a cable or satellite subscription to watch.
