Updated 2017 ACC Tournament bracket after the final has been set to determine the conference champions
Whenever you think about the ACC Tournament, you think of the traditional teams involved that have been powerhouses. Programs and teams that come to mind are those of the North Carolina Tar Heels, Duke Blue Devils, NC State Wolfpack and even teams like Virginia and Wake Forest. By the end of Friday at Barclays Center for the 2017 ACC Tournament, though, several of those big names had already fallen.
Because of that, college hoops fans were first treated to the third matchup between bitter rivals, Duke and North Carolina. However, there can only be one moving into the final and remaining alive for the automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament. After falling to the Tar Heels less than a week ago to cap off their regular season, it was Mike Krzyzewski and Duke that were able to complete a great comeback and pick up a thrilling win.
Meanwhile, the bottom half of the bracket featured the Florida State Seminoles taking on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. In terms of talent and top-end potential, FSU was clearly the superior team. That didn’t stop the Fighting Irish from going out and simply putting a hurt on the Noles to advance to face Duke in the final.

Duke and Notre Dame should be a highly intriguing match up to determine the ACC Champion. Once again, the Irish will be at a disadvantage in regards to overall talent. However, they still have every reason to believe that this is just another proverbial mountain to climb.
