What time will 68 teams learn where they will be playing in the 2017 NCAA Tournament during the annual Selection Sunday Show on CBS?
When it comes to the biggest sporting events in college athletics, a selection committee determines where and when the participants will play. That’s the way it’s setup for the NCAA Tournament and on Sunday, the Selection Show on CBS will reveal all of the battles for 2017.
Several teams have earned their way in via the automatic bid, but others are on the bubble and hoping that they have done enough to get in. The best part of the show on CBS is when they show a team find out that they have gotten into the tournament and they begin celebrating.
Just making the NCAA Tournament is a tremendous accomplishment for some schools. For others, it’s all about seeding and finding out what region they will be in to try and reach the Final Four in Glendale, Arizona.

They will go one region at a time and then briefly break down that region before moving onto the next one. The buildup raises the anxiety of everyone waiting to hear their name called and therefore creates heartbreak or triumph for a program.
The show will officially start at 5:30 p.m. ET and it will run until 7:00 p.m. ET. The selection committee is probably hoping that the bracket doesn’t get leaked early like it did last year. That created for quite the controversy as teams knew their fate before it was even announced.
