Selection Sunday 2017 will air on March 12 with the field of 68 for the NCAA Tournament being chosen. Here’s all the info you need to watch
Is there a better American pastime than getting together with friends, looking at your brackets and picking your way to a winner? The clear-cut answer is absolutely not. However, there’s something important that you need to get you to that point after the regular season and conference tournaments. That thing, of course, is Selection Sunday. On March 12, Selection Sunday for the 2017 NCAA Tournament will go down.
Many people would agree that the No. 1 seeds are locked going into Selection Sunday. The Villanova Wildcats, North Carolina Tar Heels, Kansas Jayhawks and Gonzaga Bulldogs all seem locked in. Something could change, but expect those four teams to be ahead of the rest when the bracket is officially announced.
However, it’s more than just a four-team race for the title as the one seeds. This year has been full of parity in college basketball and any team could win. What could be important about that happening, though, is how these dark horses match up with their region and/or what seed they come in at. That’s what we’ll see to try and project on Selection Sunday.
