68 teams will learn their fate in the 2017 NCAA Tournament on Sunday, as the annual Selection Sunday show takes place.
When it comes to sports, there isn’t an event that sparks more debate than Selection Sunday. With 68 teams having their fate decided by a committee, there leaves plenty of debate about whether or not the selection committee made the right decisions.
It’s also a tense day for teams that are on the bubble. With their fate in the committee’s hand, they have to wait and see like the rest of the world if they’ll be going dancing in the 2017 NCAA Tournament.
There’s nothing quite like breaking down each region and drawing out the tension. Just as it is every year, the annual Selection Sunday show will be on CBS. It is there where the experts and analysts will reveal the teams that will be dancing this year and where they will be playing.
Once everyone finds out where each team will be playing, they will begin filling out their brackets. The seeding is just as important as finding out if teams made it and it ultimately determines the path to the NCAA Championship.

Of course, there’s going to be heartbreak for multiple programs as well. Last year, the bracket released early online and it took the buzz out of the show. Will they be able to keep it under wraps this year?
