Tony Romo may actually play the 2017 NFL season with the Dallas Cowboys, as the team is not likely to find a trade partner this offseason.

Maybe it is the huge contract or the fact that he has started only four games the last two seasons, but there seems to be no team interested in trading for Tony Romo. The four-time Pro Bowl quarterback looks to be headed towards the bench once again in 2017, as he will likely be the backup to Dak Prescott in Dallas. Romo, who was once considered one of the best quarterbacks in the league, has struggled to stay healthy, and his career just may be over.

The big signing of Sunday was T.J. Lang, who signed a three-year deal with the Detroit Lions. Lang, who has played his entire career with the Green Bay Packers since the team selected him in the fourth round back in 2009, will instantly bolster a weak offensive line in Detroit. The contract included $19 million in guaranteed moneyĀ and is worth a total of around $9.5 million per year.

Another member of the 2016 Packers who may be headed elsewhere is Eddie Lacy, who visited the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. Lacy, who has been the main back in Green Bay for the past few seasons, also met with the Seattle Seahawks, and it is apparent he will likely be playing for another team next season.Ā  The Vikings recently released Adrian Peterson, so they could definitely use some help in the backfield.

Staying with the running backs, it appears that David Johnson should be back to 100 percent in time for training camp. Johnson, who is one of the best dual-threat running backs in the NFL, sprained his MCL in Week 17 of the 2016 NFL season. The Cardinals should be a contender in the NFC next season, as starting quarterback Carson Palmer announced he was coming back for at least one more season last month.

Dontari Poe is one of the more sought-after nose tackles in this free agency period, and he has started to make his rounds to potential suitors. Poe has visited fellow AFC teams, Indianapolis and Jacksonville, though no contract was agreed upon. The Chiefs would have loved to bring back Poe for next season, but instead went out and spent the money to bring back All-Pro safety Eric Berry.

Finally, some NFL Draft news, though the news is quite somber. Sidney Jones, who was expected to go in the first round in April, suffered a major leg injury during his pro day on Sunday. Jones, who was a star for the Washington Huskies last season during their run to the College Football Playoff, is at least one of the top four cornerbacks in this draft. The injury was reported to be serious, as Jones was carted off the field.
