When things turned sour for Mick Foley on WWE RAW with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, it was Seth Rollins returning to make the save

Throughout WWE RAW, Stephanie McMahon kept checking in on Mick Foley and how he was coming along with the task she gave him at the beginning of the show. That unenviable and unwelcome requirement was to fire someone on the RAW roster. Whenever Foley made a bold choice, though, things started turning sour and brought out Triple H. As things about turned quite bad for Foley, though, a returning Seth Rollins appeared.

Foley’s decision ultimately was announced as Stephanie McMahon herself. The proverbial queen of WWE (sorry, Charlotte), was none too pleased about that and tried to run down Foley for a dumb decision. As she tried to do so, though, the former WWE Champion stood up for himself, the fans and the roster. In the process, he verbally skewed Triple H and Stephanie. That, of course, brought out Hunter.

Once down in the ring, Triple H absolutely buried Foley, even threatening to ruin his kids’ dreams and lives. He then ordered him to leave the ring, which Foley almost did. Instead, he baited Trips into the corner and hit him with Mr. Socko and the Mandible Claw—but only until Steph stopped him with a low-blow:

An obviously displeased Triple H then began taking off his jacket and heading towards Foley. But that’s when Seth Rollins’ music hit and the crutch-bearing former champion made his way to the ring. However, it was all a ruse. The limp and crutch weren’t for real, so he dropped the crutch and went after his former mentor:

Initially, Triple H was sent running with Seth Rollins having the upper hand. But once at ringside, he picked up the crutch laying there and returned. Though Rollins fought out at first, Hunter eventually took control and unleashed a brutal beatdown on the injured knee of his former protege, using the crutch and a nasty knee-bar:

With questions about whether or not their rumored WrestleMania 33 match will happen or not, this closing segment on RAW seems to suggest so. Rollins sure looked healthy and now there’s an even hotter storyline. Let’s hope that this is where that’s all leading.
