WWE WrestleMania 33: Triple threat for RAW tag titles set
After a No. 1 Contender’s match, Gallows and Anderson know who they’ll defend the RAW Tag Team Championships against at WWE WrestleMania 33
The card for WWE WrestleMania 33 is starting to take shape. For RAW, we’ve known for quite some time now that it’ll be Goldberg defending his Universal Championship against Brock Lesnar. Since then, Roman Reigns vs. The Undertaker, Bayley vs. Charlotte vs. Sasha Banks, and other teases have happened. Then there have been other SmackDown matches. However, the RAW Tag Team Championships have been sort of in flux.
Gallows and Anderson have been holding the straps, but it’s been Enzo and Cass bickering with Sheamus and Cesaro over who would face the champs at WWE WrestleMania 33. On Monday night in Detroit for RAW, however, there was a No. 1 Contenders match that would hopefully settle that.
Unfortunately, Gallows and Anderson weren’t trying to let that happen. Essentially trying to get out of facing either, they go the match to end in a no contest as they jumped both potential contenders and left them in a heap. Problem solved, right?
Not so much. As the tag champs went backstage, they met up with Mick Foley. The general manager was displeased with their actions and, essentially, decided to punish them for it. He then made it official that the RAW Tag Team Championships will be defended in a triple threat match, Gallows and Anderson vs. Enzo and Cass vs. Cesaro and Sheamus, at WWE WrestleMania 33:

All things considered, this was the most sensible solution from the start. Both potential challengers have been doing great work and are deserving of a spot on the WWE WrestleMania 33 card. So to put them both in the match in Orlando makes a great deal of sense. Now the challenge becomes figuring out who should start the unofficial new WWE year with the RAW tag belts.
