Caris LeVert puts some excitement into arena that hasn’t had much of it this year.

The Brooklyn Nets haven’t done much to get their fans excited this year, but Caris LeVert is trying to change that for them. The rookie forward out of Michigan has been a bright spot for the lowly Nets in flashes. Tonight, amidst a snowstorm, he showed some of that flash to the few fans gathered in Barclays Center.

The Oklahoma City Thunder were attempting to run a basic dribble hand-off play, but LeVert read it first and stripped the ball out of Jerami Grant’s hands before he could gain control.

From that point it was off to the races and LeVert had a pretty good head start. Grant and the Thunder had no chance at catching him which gave LeVert plenty of time to add some flash to his dunk. He used it well and got the entire Nets bench on its feet.

The best highlights ever involve the bench. This is just a fact. Look at everybody trying to hold one another back despite none of them having any intention of running on to the court. Although, maybe one of them really would run out there if someone wasn’t holding them back. Better safe then sorry.

There’s even a relatively loud cheer from the small crowd. Fans in that arena haven’t had much to cheer for this season, so really any highlight is enough reason to get up and yell.

These fans went out in the middle of a snowstorm to go out and watch a bad basketball team. That alone is a risk that might not be worth their dollar. Luckily, they were rewarded with one of the better dunks they’ll see this season. Even if the Nets probably won’t do much more winning.
