Max Pacioretty – MTL (W) – $6600

Montreal will play host to the visiting Chicago Blackhawks tonight, in a game in which they are a -125 favorite. Max Pacioretty has been on fire of late, recording 8 goals and 8 assists, for a total of 16 points through his last 14 games. Pacioretty has also seen an increase in his shot volume, where he’s  currently averaging 4.45 shots per game this month.

Anze Kopitar – LA (C) – $5200

The Kings have the highest projected team total at 3.1 goals tonight, as they take on the woeful Coyotes. Anze Kopitar will center the top line for LA, as well as, play on the top powerplay unit. If we dive deeper into analyzing time on the ice per dollar, Anze Kopitar ranks the highest of any center on the slate. Kopitar has averaged over 20 minutes per game this year, and given both the price and match-up, he should be considered in all formats.

Evander Kane – BUF (W) – $6300

After spending much of his time on the third line, Kane is now slated to skate on the top line among Ryan O’Reilly and Brian Gionta. With this new role, Kane has seen an increase amount of time on the ice. He’s averaged 19.99 minutes per game this month, up almost a full minute from his yearly total. His average shots on goal also reflect the increase in usage, as he’s averaging 4.25 shots on goal this month, up over a half of a shot per game from this season long average, of 3.67.

Dustin Byfuglien – WPG (D) – $6100

Dustin Byfuglien is a source of stability at a modest price on tonight’s slate. Byfuglien’s safety comes from this time on the ice. He’s averaging 27.36 minutes per game this season, more than any other defenseman on the slate. Playing those big minutes have allowed him to accrue fantasy production through peripheral stats. He’s currently averaging 3.58 shots and 1.25 blocks per game this month.

Others to consider: Brayden Point, Andrew Shaw, Blake Wheeler, Kyle Palmieri
