The Cleveland Browns have the potential to solve a lot of needs in the 2017 NFL Draft. Here’s a seven-round mock draft for them.

For many years, the Cleveland Browns have been the butt of everyone’s jokes in the NFL. And rightfully so, as they’ve been towards the bottom of the standings for most of the past 15 years. Cleveland has a history of messing up big time at the NFL Draft. However, with a new front office and by stockpiling draft picks, maybe this will be the year the Browns will finally start moving forward.

A team like Cleveland needs as many draft picks as possible. If nothing else, the law of averages suggests the more picks you have, the more success you’ll have (assuming you know what you’re doing). The Browns have 11 draft picks, including seven in the first four rounds. Cleveland has a lot of issues, but if they play their cards right, they can solve a lot of them in the NFL Draft. Here’s a seven-round mock draft for the Browns that solves a lot of their problems.

Myles Garrett

Defensive End, Texas A&M

Please Cleveland. Don’t overthink this. You need a quarterback desperately, but just take the best player available. Myles Garrett is the kind of guy you can build a defense around. He’s one of the most polished pass rushers to come out of the NCAA in recent years. Moreover, Garrett’s a three down player. The Cleveland Browns have taken the first step to rebuilding their defense by re-signing Jamie Collins. Now it’s time they add an elite pass rusher.

Mike Williams

Wide Receiver, Clemson

The Browns should go with the best player available at every pick. Because chances are whoever it is, they need help at their position. Wide receiver is no exception, even if the Browns re-sign Terrelle Pryor. Mike Williams is a huge receiver at 6-foot-4 and 218 pounds. He showed all season what he’s capable of in terms of big plays. Williams would be an excellent complement to Pryor and he would give whoever the Browns next franchise quarterback is two viable weapons. And lord have mercy if Josh Gordon returns.
